2008 Baby Baby [WAV]
The emergence of new artists is always exciting in any music scene. The South Korean girl group “Girls’ Generation” consists of nine relatively young members. Let’s see how well this “Girls’ Generation” performs. “Into the New World” (track 11) was composed by Kenzie. With its upbeat melody, it presents a passionate and consistently high-quality vocal performance from Girls’ Generation. On the new track list, there’s “Kissing You” (the fifth track), a House-style dance song that showcases the charm and allure of the girl group. The nine new members—Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Taeyeon, Jessica, and Soonkyu—have roughly equal opportunities to perform, demonstrating that the organizers are still trying to create a cohesive “Girls’ Generation” rather than focusing on individual members’ achievements. The title track, “Girls’ Generation” (the first track), a cover of Lee Seung-cheol’s 1989 hit of the same name, is overflowing with heavy beats and cheerful energy! “Ooh La-La!” (the second track) is a joyful piece celebrating Girls’ Generation’s leap forward, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the girls through nine different voices.
