Recorded in Toulouse, France in 2015, this record is the first record recorded by Song Siheng after winning the 61st Marguerite Long International Competition.
The album mainly includes French works, and several Liszt and Chinese works have also been performed by Song Siheng in concerts in France and are well known to French audiences.
About the artist:
Song Siheng, born in Shanghai in 1981, studied piano since childhood, and later studied under Professor Sheng Yiqi, Xu Zhong and other famous pianists, and graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2001. In 2002, Song Siheng studied in Paris, studied under Domenik Mehlet, and benefited from the guidance of many top international music masters such as Philippe Antemont, Dmitry Bashkirov, and Bai Jianyu. Song Siheng has won many awards including the Shanghai International Piano Competition, the Bordeaux International Piano Competition in Portugal, and the Leeds International Competition in the United Kingdom. In particular, he became the first Chinese to win the gold medal of the Margaret Long-Yatibaut International Piano Competition, one of the world’s four major international competitions, and was praised by AFP and other media as “the leader of the new generation of European classical music”.<\/div>
