Info : Saya (Vocal, Key, etc.) and Takashi Ueno (Guitar, Sax, Vocal, etc) met as students and started the majikick label in 1995, producing early and classic works by themselves and many of their friends.
Tenniscoats combine Saya and Ueno’s simple and original melodies with each other’s ideas and improvisations. Their collaborative albums with Japanese and international artists have captured the spontaneous musical forms that arose from time to time.
They have also worked with bands such as Puka Puka Bryans, Cacoy, Nika Soup & Saya Sauce, oneone, Spirit Fest, and Zayaendo. Ueno has also released a number of solo works.
Since 2020, they has founded and operated the streaming website MinnaKikeru with his friends, which features music from a wide range of Japanese indie artists.
