Info : This album features a duet by violinist Gilles Colliard and guitarist Agustin Maruri, performing seven beautiful pieces composed specifically for guitar and violin by five different composers.
Both Western string instruments have their strengths: the violin’s melodies are long, beautiful, delicate, and moving, while the guitar’s pizzicato is crisp and crystalline, like pearls falling onto a jade plate, cheerful and lively. Yet, their duet is so harmonious, sometimes chasing, sometimes harmonizing, sometimes playful, sometimes tenderly intertwined.
The two musicians’ superb technique and perfect coordination allow you to fully experience the charm of classical duets. The recording is audiophile quality, with a strong sense of live performance, as if the two musicians are playing right in front of you—so real, so moving.
